Prague, Czech Republic
Before the sun had risen we departed from the house at 5am running down the hill rolling bags behind us, waking up the entire neighborhood. We caught a bus and ran to the train station making it on the bus just in time, but not after being yelled at by the bus driver for almost missing our reservation. We boarded the pretty packed Flix bus to Prague. The bus stopped about 4 times on our 8 hour and 30 minute bus ride. 2 hours in a lot of people got off and the two front seats were open so Blake and I snuck up there to claim it. Spent most of the bus ride sleeping and listening to music. We arrived at the bus station and our group split into two when we grabbed taxis and went to the Airbnb. We met the owner who spoke about 2 words of english "hello" and "ok" which was just about all we needed. We unloaded our stuff and went to a restaurant just around the corner that had good trip advisor reviews (thanks for finding that one Carissa #tripadvisorqueen).
Our group headed back to the Airbnb to take a nap before our friends from the Florence program arrived. Once our friends joined us we hung out at the Airbnb for a while then grabbed sandwiches from the shop downstairs. Then we headed out and checked out the night life scene of Prague. The city was alive at night with locals and tourist a like enjoying the city lights and music from the bars.
The next day we slept in and the first thing we did was of course go to Starbucks. Surprisingly the girls were ready before the boys so they just met us there. The boys wanted to hangout at the Airbnb but the girls wanted to site see so we split up and met them at the castle in the late afternoon. Our group went shopping then grabbed lunch and walked around the old part of Prague exploring shops and climbed all the stairs to see the view from the castle. It was under 30 degrees Fahrenheit and we were all ready to go home and freshen up before dinner. We went to dinner at 'Aquarius Restaurant' and it was fantastic. Absolutely beautiful. A must eat at in Prague. Then we went back to the Airbnb and hung out before walking around the downtown area.
The next day a majority of the group left at 9am to fly back to Florence and Bus back to Heidelberg. The remaining Florence and Heidelberg people picked up the Airbnb and then we grabbed lunch together. We went our separate ways and got back on the 8 hour and 30 minute bus to Heidelberg. We arrived in Heidelberg after midnight and went we got back to Moore Haus someone had eaten my food. Living in a house of 50 people has its ups and downs.
